The story begins in May 1945 on the American-occupied side of Germany’s Elbe River, where US Army Medical Corps Colonel Samuel Singer discovers the smoldering wreckage of an SS staff car. Inside lies a badly injured driver next to a dead German officer carrying the identity of a wanted Nazi war criminal. Fast-forward to July 1988: Samuel’s adopted son Daniel, an art curator, receives a mysterious, security-sealed package sent from West Berlin.
Daniel’s journey to uncover the contents of that package sends him on a continent-spanning odyssey across his own roots. He inadvertently opens a Pandora’s box involving the Mossad, the rise of Adolf Hitler, the horrors of the Holocaust, and the ultimate struggle to right a heinous multi-generational wrong.
